Hyatt Hotels Corporation has revealed a collaboration between a Hyatt affiliate and City Hotel Limited to revamp Hyatt Place Kathmandu into the anticipated Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu. Upon completion of the renovation, the hotel will undergo a comprehensive rebranding, becoming the inaugural Hyatt Centric establishment in the country. The transformation will encompass a renewed entrance and lobby area, a distinctive sky bar and lounge, and upgraded amenities, all meticulously curated to capture the vibrant essence of the full-service Hyatt Centric brand.
Positioned as a hub for exploration for discerning travelers, the property enjoys a convenient location near the city center and is within a short drive of revered pilgrimage sites, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. Nestled in a picturesque valley adorned with historic sites, ancient temples, shrines, golden pagodas, and captivating villages, the hotel’s setting makes it an ideal choice for modern adventurers.
“Strategically located in the heart of Kathmandu, we are confident this property will serve as an idyllic home base offering personalized, of-place service and experiences for guests looking to explore the rich history of the destination. The launch of the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Nepal will further strengthen our portfolio in Southwest Asia and solidify the region as a priority market for Hyatt,” said Dhruva Rathore, vice president of development, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt.
The Hyatt Centric brand, with locations in prominent global cities such as New York, Madrid, Mumbai, Bangalore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Chicago, is designed to cater to millennial-minded travelers who seek a central and dynamic experience during their stay.
Akshay Golyan, Executive Director of City Hotel Limited, looks forward to unveiling the hotel’s transformed identity, highlighting the commitment to providing exceptional and memorable experiences that resonate with today’s curious traveler.
