Avianca Group is preparing a major expansion of its Winter 2026/2027 schedule, with new nonstop routes and substantial frequency increases set to reshape connectivity from October 2026.

The expansion will add new point-to-point links between Colombia and major international destinations, while several established routes will receive additional flights to meet expected seasonal demand. The changes will strengthen connectivity through El Dorado International Airport (BOG) and expand Avianca’s reach across North America and South America.

Avianca Adds New Routes for Winter 2026/2027

Avianca’s upcoming winter schedule includes several brand-new international and domestic connections.

The network expansion is particularly focused on connecting Colombian cities directly with major North American and South American destinations. Miami will receive three new nonstop links from Pereira, Bucaramanga and Santa Marta, while Pereira will also gain a new direct connection to New York (JFK).

Cartagena is being positioned for stronger international connectivity as well, with new nonstop services to São Paulo (GRU) and Santiago de Chile (SCL).

A new domestic Colombian route will also connect Medellín (MDE) with Pereira, providing an additional link between two important Colombian cities.

Miami Gains Three New Colombian Connections

One of the most significant elements of Avianca’s winter expansion will be the introduction of three new nonstop services linking Miami (MIA) with Colombia.

Beginning October 25, 2026, the airline will increase the frequency of several key South American capital connections to daily service.

The Bogotá (BOG)–Asunción (ASU) route will increase from three flights per week to seven weekly flights, effectively becoming a daily service.

The increase will provide passengers with greater flexibility when travelling between Colombia and Paraguay, while also improving the usefulness of Bogotá as a connecting hub for regional journeys.

Bogotá-Montevideo Also Moves to Daily Service

The Bogotá–Montevideo (MVD) route will also receive a major frequency increase.

Avianca will raise the service from four weekly flights to daily operations, taking the route to seven flights per week from October 25, 2026.
