ICCA & ABEA invite young leaders to shine at AIME 2024 in Melbourne, a chance to influence the global business meetings industry!

ICCA is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in our field by providing them with an international stage. In partnership with the Australian Business Events Association (ABEA), we’re excited to offer exceptional new talents the opportunity to showcase their skills at the 2024 Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Event (AIME) in Melbourne.

Top professionals from the APAC and worldwide business meetings sector will converge at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from February 19-21. This presents a rare chance for Up-and-Coming Leaders to participate and present their innovative ideas during the AIME Leadership Forum (Monday, 19th) on strategies for attracting, nurturing, and inspiring fresh talent.

Our goal is to find real, lasting solutions for drawing in, cultivating, and rewarding young, enthusiastic professionals in our industry. The ideal candidates to spearhead this discussion are those aged 18-35 or with less than 10 years in the sector. Seize this opportunity to bring your insights, experiences, and concepts to a forum where influential individuals can help elevate your ideas.

ABAE members interested in this chance should submit their proposals through the ABEA website by February 1.

Winners will get to present their topics to over 100 industry leaders at the AIME leadership forum titled ‘The Business Events Proposition’, setting the tone for the forum by sparking thoughtful discussions among professionals about your subject.

Winners will enjoy several benefits, including:

• A 3-5 minute high-impact presentation at the forum’s start.
• A free pass to AIME.
• Round-trip flights to Melbourne from your city*.
• Two nights in Melbourne’s vibrant city.
• A prestigious ICCASkills Certified International Convention Specialist scholarship.
• *Economy flights to Melbourne, arriving before 9 am on February 19.

The top 3 submissions will earn two mentoring sessions with selected ABEA Council Chairs in 2024. The Top 10 entrants will have their applications shared with industry leaders and will receive a participation certificate, enhancing their professional portfolio.

Applicants should address the following challenge question in their submissions: How can the Business Events industry better appeal to and retain Emerging Leaders?
