Iconic rooftop bar at Four Seasons Mumbai reopens this weekend

The eagerly anticipated reopening of AER, the iconic bar at the Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, marks a thrilling transformation after a year of complete renovations. With its impeccable service, chic ambience, and panoramic views of South Mumbai’s skyline and sunsets, AER has long been hailed as one of the world’s best bars for luxury travelers. Now, it reopens as a yacht club-inspired space, combining modernity with traditional elements.

Architect Phillip Pond’s redesign of AER introduces a contemporary bar with a nautical undertone, featuring a people-centric design that prioritizes essential touch points of service. The central bar acts as a gathering space accessible from all sides, fostering a symmetrical dialogue between the warm and welcoming bartender and hostess. The revamped menu, curated by renowned mixologist Alexandre Renoue (known as Alex), takes guests on a gastronomic voyage. From the serene clarity of the Clear Skies cocktail lineup to the brooding intensity of the Thunderheads, there’s a drink for every palate.

AER’s menu also offers a wide selection of handcrafted cocktails, delicious small and large plates inspired by coastal cuisines from around the world, and an extensive range of beers, wines, and spirits. With a focus on vegan and vegetarian options, the menu caters to the discerning diner.

The Art Deco-inspired design of AER exudes a modern language of design, with latticework, arches, and smooth stone panelling. The highlight is its retractable Wimbledon-style rain roof, providing unparalleled views of the cerulean sea during the monsoon season.
