ICONSIAM lights up ‘Thailand Winter Festival’ with December extravaganza

ICONSIAM, the renowned Thai landmark situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, has been selected as one of the seven featured destinations for the “The Vijit Chao Phraya 2023” event, a part of the ‘Thailand Winter Festival’ organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This collaborative effort between the public and private sectors is set to take place throughout December 2023.

Mr. Supoj Chaiwatsirikul, the Managing Director of ICONSIAM Company Limited, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to contribute to this festive season by hosting extraordinary events that will illuminate the river. We invite everyone to join us and share in the holiday spirit at ICONSIAM.”

ICONSIAM will host spectacular light-and-sound shows along the riverside four times daily throughout December, starting at 6:30 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Additionally, there is a multimedia water fountain dance show, the longest of its kind in Southeast Asia, which combines light, sound, and various elements to create one of the most captivating attractions along the Chao Phraya River.

These activities at ICONSIAM are an integral part of the ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023’ program, a part of the Thailand Winter Festival that aims to draw global attention to the breathtaking natural beauty of the Chao Phraya River, one of Bangkok’s most striking features.

Apart from the activities of the Vijit Chao Phraya 2023 event, the program incorporates cutting-edge projection mapping and lighting techniques, combined with a creative infusion of culture, to deliver a technologically and visually stunning experience. This includes light decorations, image projections on buildings, mesmerizing firework displays, and culturally rich performances, among other attractions. These events will be scattered across key points along the Chao Phraya River, spanning the area from Krung Thon Bridge to Rama 3 Bridge in Bangkok, promising tourists and visitors a unique and immersive experience to witness the grandeur and beauty of the Chao Phraya River and its surroundings.
