His extensive industry experience has allowed him to understand the changing dynamics of hospitality markets, including the growing demand for personalised guest experiences, destination-based travel and large-scale event-driven tourism. His background in managing sales operations across different hotel segments positions him to contribute to Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ future growth initiatives.

Throughout his professional journey, Saran has worked with several recognised hospitality organisations, including global hotel groups such as Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and IHG. He has also gained experience working with independent hospitality companies and emerging brands, giving him exposure to both established global systems and flexible growth-focused business models.

Before taking up his new role at Black Rock Hotels & Resorts, Saran served as National Director of Sales at The Quorum, where he managed sales operations across its multi-city portfolio. His responsibilities included strengthening business relationships, expanding market opportunities and developing strategies to support revenue growth across multiple locations.

New Leadership Role to Focus on Commercial Growth and Market Development

As Vice President – Sales at Black Rock Hotels & Resorts, Nilay Saran will lead the company’s sales strategy and commercial development initiatives. His role will focus on strengthening the organisation’s sales framework while supporting the company’s expansion across important domestic and regional markets.

A key part of his responsibility will be enhancing regional sales operations and developing stronger connections with feeder markets that contribute to hotel demand. By identifying new business opportunities and improving account acquisition strategies, he will help the company build a wider customer base across different travel segments.

The role will also involve creating scalable sales processes that can support Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ growing portfolio. As the company continues to expand, establishing efficient systems between corporate teams, regional offices and individual properties will be essential for maintaining consistency and improving business performance.

Saran will also focus on building high-performing sales teams by strengthening collaboration, improving market intelligence and creating a more coordinated approach between different sales functions. This strategy is expected to help properties respond more effectively to changing customer requirements and emerging travel trends.

Black Rock Hotels & Resorts Targets Growth Across Leisure, MICE and Destination Wedding Markets

The appointment comes as Black Rock Hotels & Resorts continues to strengthen its position in India’s competitive hospitality sector. The company is increasing its focus on larger-format hotels and resorts while exploring opportunities in segments with strong growth potential, including leisure travel, destination weddings and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions).

India’s hospitality industry has experienced significant transformation in recent years, driven by rising domestic travel, increased corporate movement, destination celebrations and growing demand for premium accommodation experiences. Hotels and resorts are increasingly looking for innovative sales strategies to capture these opportunities and build long-term customer relationships.

Destination weddings and MICE tourism have become important growth drivers for the hospitality sector, with travellers and organisations seeking unique venues, quality services and memorable experiences. Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ increased focus on these segments highlights its ambition to strengthen its presence in high-value travel categories.

With Saran’s experience in managing sales strategies for diverse hospitality businesses, the company aims to further develop its commercial capabilities and create stronger connections with corporate clients, travel partners and leisure markets.

Appointment Supports Long-Term Vision for Hospitality Expansion

The addition of Nilay Saran to the leadership team represents another step in Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ broader growth strategy. By bringing in an experienced hospitality professional with expertise across sales, partnerships and market expansion, the company aims to create a stronger foundation for future development.

As the hospitality landscape continues to evolve, companies are increasingly focusing on strategic leadership, efficient sales networks and deeper market engagement to remain competitive. Black Rock Hotels & Resorts’ latest leadership move highlights its commitment to strengthening operations while preparing for continued growth.

With an enhanced commercial strategy and renewed focus on market expansion, the company is positioning itself to capture emerging opportunities in India’s rapidly developing hospitality and tourism sector. The appointment of Nilay Saran is expected to play an important role in supporting this journey by driving stronger sales performance, expanding business relationships and helping the company achieve its long-term growth objectives.
