IHG Hotels & Resorts elevates Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio with unprecedented global growth

IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), a prominent global hotel company featuring 19 brands and supported by its acclaimed IHG One Rewards loyalty program, emphasizes its expansion in the Luxury & Lifestyle sector. Currently, IHG boasts one of the world’s largest Luxury & Lifestyle portfolios, encompassing six renowned brands representing 22 percent of its global pipeline*, nearly doubling its stake from just five years ago. IHG’s growth strategy involves strategic expansion, dedicated expertise in Luxury & Lifestyle, and substantial investments in its enterprise platform to enhance brand awareness, consideration, and loyalty.

On a global scale, IHG has transformed its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio through notable acquisitions, including Six Senses, Regent Hotels & Resorts, and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. The brand has also grown its iconic InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and Hotel Indigo brands, and introduced the Vignette Collection. IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle brands globally span over 800 open and pipeline hotels, with nearly 260 in the Americas. To accelerate growth in this region, IHG has established a dedicated Luxury & Lifestyle Americas team of experts.

  2. Expanding Reach in the Americas: IHG is introducing and building rapport for its Luxury & Lifestyle brands in coveted urban and resort destinations, from Mexico City to the Caribbean. The new branded residential model will further elevate offerings in scenic locations.
  3. Establishing a New Legacy in Luxury: IHG’s six Luxury & Lifestyle brands, including Six Senses, Regent Hotels & Resorts, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and Hotel Indigo, each contribute a unique blend of properties, locations, and experiences.

The update highlights recent developments, such as Six Senses’ expansion, the reintroduction of Regent Hotels & Resorts in the Americas, the evolution of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, the debut of Vignette Collection, Kimpton’s growing presence, and the rapid global growth of Hotel Indigo.
