Sphere Travel Media & Exhibitions, India’s prominent travel media company, is thrilled to announce the comeback of the India International Travel Mart (IITM) in Mumbai. The event is currently taking place at Worli’s famed Nehru Centre from October 12 to October 14, 2023.

After successful editions in Bengaluru, Chennai, and New Delhi earlier in 2023, IITM has
attracted significant attention from the travel industry. The IITM delivers a spectacular
experience, linking the travel industry and discerning customers for 23 years, with over 150 exhibitors representing major travel-trade organizations and tourism boards.

IITM stands out for its diverse array of experiences, encompassing pilgrimages, cultural
heritage, pristine beaches, wildlife, and picturesque hill towns. The event highlights the
potential of travel and tourism with participants from more than ten foreign nations and 20 Indian states.

A key focus of IITM is the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department, aiming to showcase its offerings as the winter season approaches. J&K Tourism hosted 1.88 billion visitors in 2022, and in just seven months this year, they have already hosted 1.33 billion people.

Acknowledging the backing of the government, travel industry associations in Maharashtra are actively promoting MICE, golf, and film tourism in J&K. It is anticipated that this event will increase employment, tourism, and the local economy.

IITM continues to play a pivotal role in marketing diverse destinations, highlighting topics such as archaeology, culture, heritage, wellness, and adventure. IITM provides the travel industry with a much-needed boost as the winter holidays draw near. It continues to be India’s most fruitful travel market, offering opportunities for networking for experts in the tourism and hospitality industries. IITM is dedicated to encouraging well-being and ethical travel, in line with the global movement toward sustainability. The exhibit features community-based tourism endeavors, ecologically friendly projects, and conservation efforts aimed at protecting India’s natural and cultural legacy.

Sanjay Hakhu, Director of Sphere Travel Media said that they are one of the most intriguing and productive countries for the travel industry, serving both leisure and business travelers.

He says, “The event is expected to host over ten thousand visitors, with travel companies offering enticing packages to holiday hotspots around the world.”
