Recent statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information shed light on the evolving landscape of tourism in the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar within the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. In 2023, the region welcomed approximately 205,992 visitors, a slight decline from the 208,423 recorded in 2022.

Breaking down the visitor demographics reveals intriguing insights into the regional tourism scene. Among the visitors, 102,241 were Omani nationals, highlighting a significant portion of domestic tourism. Additionally, the influx of international tourists from neighboring countries was notable, with 13,430 Saudis, 1,218 Kuwaitis, 951 Emiratis, 554 Bahrainis, and 729 Qataris exploring the wonders of Al Jabal Al Akhdar.

Further examination of the statistics indicates a diverse array of visitors, with 6,784 arrivals from other Arab nationalities and 80,085 from various foreign backgrounds. This eclectic mix underscores the region’s appeal as a cosmopolitan destination offering unique experiences for travelers worldwide.

This diverse portfolio includes nine hotels and resorts, a hotel apartment facility, two heritage lodges, and eight guest houses, collectively providing 726 rooms of varying sizes. Such accommodations cater to the diverse preferences of tourists, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay for every visitor.
