On Brisbane tourism, Rideshare e-scooters have had a very positive impact as several visitors found those hugely convenient compare to public transport and cars, as per a recent report presented by University of Queensland researchers.

Dr Richard Buning, the head author from UQ Business School stated that the report was specially made by Brisbane City Council, unraveled the insights and experiences of the residents as well as tourists, and the way they influenced the image of the city.

Dr Buning said that they have evaluated the data collected from around 1000 people who were questioned in the CBD of Brisbane including, locals, tourists, users and non-users of the e-scooters and e-bikes.

Over 80 per cent of the visitors stated that e-scooters immensely improved their experience when visiting the city.

Dr Buning also explained that the team of research was quite amazed to find people were making use of e-bikes and e-scooters as another option when it comes to public transport or traditional rideshare options.

Several visitors considered the public transport network of Brisbane would be seamless to find the way and thought they’d miss out on the best sights of the city when travelling by car, he said. However, now they found e-scooters quite easy to use.
