According to the recent development, Mexican archaeologists in a grave have revealed richly decorated human remains that could possibly be more than 1,000 years old. This recent finding took place in an area where construction work related to an important tourist railway project was coming to a completion, as per the national antiquities institute INAH of Mexico.

During a continuing archaeological rescue work, this discovery took place which overlapped with the development of a multibillion-dollar project of tourist railway based in southern Mexico. Mainly, this project is targeted at drawing visitors to the several old Maya sites located in southern Mexico, along with the close by famous beach resorts like Tulum and Cancun.

This particular railway project is known as the Maya Train and it holds top priority when it comes financial development for Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the President. It has assigned considerable capital to the archaeologist team who are industriously leading excavations to see that construction work gets progressed and not get hindered in any way.

Archaeological projects in contrast, in other regions of Mexico have experienced cuts in budget. The most recent detection happened at the time of a hotel construction near the important Maya ruins of Palenque in Chiapas state.
