India to build tourism momentum, says FAITH CEO

In India, the tourism scene has been set up on the world forum and the central and state governments the ministries need to work as a team to shape on this stimulus and not to lose it as the country is all prepared to turn into a world leader in tourism, said Aashish Gupta, CEO, Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality.

While speaking at the HT Tourism Conclave 2023, Gupta mentioned that India has formally been placed in the world scene in regard to tourism. Also, Gupta talked about the was the sector has been reviving well from pandemic impact however, still it has many miles to go.

He added that he thinks that they are formally placed when it comes to branding their travel destinations and at present, the government and industry not just the ministry of tourism but other central and state ministries need to work together to make sure that they build on this drive and not lose it, he said in HT Tourism conclave. Due to the pandemic, the tourism industry had to go through a lot but now it is recuperating well and they have a long way to go, the CEO added.
