IndiGo flight to Lucknow delayed due to bomb hoax

IndiGo Mumbai-Lucknow flight delayed after a passenger falsely claimed a bomb was under his seat, leading to a thorough security check.

On a recent Friday, an IndiGo airplane scheduled to fly from Mumbai to Lucknow experienced a delay due to a distressing event. During boarding, one of the passengers on flight 6E 5264 made a startling declaration, alleging that a bomb was placed underneath his seat. This led to immediate measures being taken by the authorities.

The Mumbai police, as reported by ANI, indicated that the passenger on the aforementioned flight suggested there was a bomb under his seat. Consequently, the flight crew and airport security personnel promptly initiated a comprehensive search of the plane to guarantee everyone’s safety.

The search concluded without finding any dangerous items or explosives on board. The passenger, a 27-year-old man who made the false claim, was quickly apprehended by the Mumbai police. He now faces legal charges under specific provisions of the Indian Penal Code, namely sections 506(2) and 505(1)(B).
