Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park, a distinguished destination boasting world-class hospitality, agritourism, and residential offerings with a total investment of $1 billion, is nearing completion of its inaugural structure – the Inn at Bellefield Residence Inn by Marriott International. This exceptional 137-room all-suite hotel, strategically situated opposite the Culinary Institute of America, promises a refined lodging experience, featuring upscale amenities. Reservations for the Inn at Bellefield are now open from January 14, 2024, and the first guests are eagerly anticipated shortly thereafter. Spearheaded by T-Rex Capital Group, LLC, in collaboration with the renowned Shaner Hotel Group, LP, this $55 million venture marks the first of two hotels within the comprehensive Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park development.

Nestled at 25 Old Vineyard Place, The Inn at Bellefield graces a natural elevation, offering sweeping views. The hotel boasts full kitchens, ergonomic workstations, a deluxe fitness center, and well-appointed living and sleeping spaces. Additionally, it provides 3,180 square feet of cutting-edge meeting space, complete with audio/video facilities and culinary services. The Grand Ballroom can host events for up to 150 guests. Culinary delights are on offer at The Storyteller, a farm-to-table lounge, and Eleanor’s Market, named after Hyde Park’s former resident, First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, caters to those seeking a quick bite.

Lance T. Shaner, Chairman and CEO of Shaner Hotel Group, LP, expressed excitement about the January 2024 opening, emphasizing the hotel’s unique appeal to both business and leisure travelers. The Inn at Bellefield showcases the region’s rich history, from signature sycamore wood in the lobby to the ambiance featuring Franklin D. Roosevelt fireside-chat recordings by outdoor fire pits.

The environmentally conscious Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park property, strategically located between Rhinebeck and Beacon, positions itself close to renowned attractions like the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library & Museum, Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, Walkway Over the Hudson, and more.

The hotel is actively engaging with the local community, fostering relationships with farmers, distilleries, and brewers. With nearly 200 construction jobs supported and the creation of 35 new positions for hotel associates, The Inn at Bellefield aims to be a hub for both visitors and locals. Approximately 80% of construction jobs benefited residents within nine local counties.

As part of the ongoing Bellefield development, the completed project will consist of 60% residential space and 40% commercial space. A commitment to preserving natural beauty ensures over half of the property’s 340 acres remain undeveloped woods. Upcoming phases include retail and commercial spaces, tourism and hospitality offerings, and 801 residential units.

Hope Knight, President, CEO, and Commissioner of Empire State Development, recognizes The Inn at Bellefield as a catalyst for showcasing the Mid-Hudson region’s appeal and contributing to economic growth. Support from entities like the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council, Empire State Development, Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency, the Town of Hyde Park, and Hyde Park Central School District has been instrumental in the success of Bellefield at Historic Hyde Park.
