International tourism board attract filmmakers from India

To India, Film Tourism Boards of around 20 countries had come to take part in the India International Film Tourism Conclave and meet, talk, comprehend, and provide sops to Indian filmmakers to shoot in their respective countries. Producers and directors from all over the country took part in the conclave to meet the tourism boards.

While commenting on the occasion Harshad Bhagwat, Promoter, IIFTC said that after covid, international shoots are back on track with a sort of revenge. Almost every production house is keeping busy in having a slate with many projects, compensating for the 2 years loss due to the pandemic. The show for this year is contributed to the human spirit and determination that compels all associated with the creative industries and mainly, country’s filmmakers. Every year, Bhagwat said that they are trying to develop their offering to build greater value for the world film community & local productions visiting the show.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, the Producer gave out his success mantra to the astute spectators at the IIFT by saying ‘Follow your gut’. He further said that whichever films he has made, he loved the scripts irrespective of what others told him. In 2005, when they took a decision to produce Rang De Basanti, many people cautioned them that the film might not work well as in the cast at the end dies, but they followed the gut.
