IRCTC, a public sector initiative under the Ministry of Railway, is operating an exclusive tourism train for the residents of Madhya Pradesh. The IRCTC Swadesh Darshan special tourism train will be running for the pilgrims and start its journey on November 10 this year. The enterprise will encourage religious tourism in India.

The special pilgrims train will be leaving for the Kamakhya Yatra with Puri and Gangasagar via the stations of Rani Kamlapati and Jabalpur. Passengers can board this train from Indore. The nine nights and ten days trip will also present an array of services to the passengers.

The passengers need to pay Rs. 16,950/- per person (Standard Category). It comprises facilities like tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additionally, the railways will also arrange for lodging along with veggie food in rail restaurants and on the train. It will also ensure the security of a tourist. However, it is obligatory to adhere to the rules concerning COVID-19 for temple darshan and exploring of monuments. The reservation for the trip can be done via the IRCTC website.

Being one of the most reasonable tourist trains in India, Swadesh Darshan includes some of the most important tourist spots in India. The trains are aimed toward upholding religious tourism in India, presenting an opportunity of discovering India on a shoestring budget.

Besides the Swadesh Darshan trains, IRCTC tourism presents a wide variety of tour packages for religious pilgrims.
