In a world of technological breakthroughs, the thin line between human and artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly blurred. Imagine a world in which the audience is exposed to content and videos of paradise-laden vistas as well as tourism updates. That is actually artificial intelligence, not a human being. Virtual reality is assuming the mantle of shaping a technologically advanced era. The development of Milla Sofia, an artificial intelligence creation, caused a stir among the public after the two converged.

Travel content isn’t falling behind in this regard. Travel bloggers have demonstrated how to create detailed and contextually relevant content based on textual prompts by using platforms such as GPT-3 and DALL-E. This ability may be easily extended to travel narratives and virtual exploration.

Can it be a career option?

There is no steadfast answer to this. Human travel bloggers, who traditionally go around destinations collecting firsthand experiences and sharing journeys through videos, blogs, and social media, invest time and incur expenses. Both of which will be minimised if not nullified. AI-generated travel bloggers can increase their efficiency in content production. They can assess, strategise, curate, and process vast datasets and trends. Thus, when making videos, blogs, or social media posts, less effort is put into the research and editing process.

As a result, scalability is guaranteed since travel bloggers can cover several locations and subjects concurrently, ignoring budgetary and logistical limitations. These also result from travel expenses and physical restrictions that affect human influencers.

While maintaining financial stability is crucial to blogging success, AI-generated bloggers will go above and beyond by cutting or eliminating the costs of sponsorships, airfare, and lodging.

Natural language processing (NLP) and generation (NLG), image recognition, and occasionally virtual reality (VR) are the technologies underlying AI-generated travel bloggers’ immersive experiences. This enables them to cover a broad range of subjects and locations, offering thorough and current insights and information.

Downsides: Are there any?

Customising content according to the situation and time can be a major constraint for AI-generated travel bloggers. Human travel bloggers can improvise and communicate in a natural way, while AI communicates and articulates in a set pattern.

AI-generated travel bloggers cannot share anecdotes and produce tailor-made elements. AI is currently unable to effectively mimic human bloggers’ ability to readily modify their tone, style, and content focus based on their own experiences or the immediate context of their travels. AI-generated content can eventually make viewers weary due to its predictability and lack of personalization.

People are looking for new, interesting, and emotionally impactful content that is based on real experiences and viewpoints. Although AI-generated travel bloggers are capable of producing informative content effectively, their capacity to genuinely captivate and maintain a devoted audience may be limited by the lack of human bloggers’ personal tales, flexibility, and easy, intuitive communication.

Even if the resulting human-AI synergy is happening quickly, it will not be unexpected if travel bloggers are made up solely of AI. The subjective nature of success and failure can only be resolved through time.
