Ahead of ITB Berlin 2024, the travel show boasts nearly full bookings, showcasing global tourism with diverse exhibitors and new features.

In the lead-up to its grand opening, ITB Berlin is experiencing remarkable reservation rates, with the exhibition space nearly 90% filled. This premier travel trade show is set to showcase a diverse array of participants, witnessing significant growth in exhibitors from Oman, the host country, alongside other Arab nations, Turkey, Greece, Asia, Africa, and sectors like mobility, technology, and cruises, underscoring its worldwide significance. The event is energized by the return of participants like Emirates airline and Liechtenstein, and the introduction of new players such as Disney, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Air India. Renovations enable a full circuit of the venue once more, with new attractions including a spotlight on German-speaking countries at hub27, the debut of ITB MICE HUB in Hall 8.2, and the ITB Sustainability Lounge in Hall 4.1.

With ITB Berlin scheduled for 5-7 March 2024, anticipation is high. Embracing the theme #ITBTOGETHER, the event promises a comprehensive B2B platform representing the entire tourism value chain. To date, participants from 165 nations have confirmed their attendance across 27 halls, including the Marshall Haus and Palais am Funkturm, now housing the ITB Buyers Circle. The addition of five halls enables a complete tour of the site. Hall 8.2 will emphasize Cultural Tourism, featuring regions like Flanders and Vallonia, alongside the business travel and MICE sectors. Eastern Europe and former CIS countries will be stationed in Halls 10.2 and 11.2, with Hall 10.1 expanding the Travel Tech area. Hall 18, now reopened, will include exhibitors from the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, the Baltic States, and Ukraine.

Hub27, debuting in 2023, will concentrate on German-speaking areas, Slovenia, and Liechtenstein, celebrating its comeback. Austria is expanding its presence, and Germany will be represented by the German National Tourist Board and nearly all federal states, with major transport companies and airports also featured. AIDA showcases six leading brands in hub27.

ITB Berlin 2024 is more international than ever, with a substantial increase in Greek exhibitors and significant representations from across the globe, including the Arab states with Oman as the host country. Asia and Oceania have a strong presence across three halls, with China making a return post-pandemic. Africa occupies Halls 20 and 21 entirely, with notable participants like Mauritius, the Seychelles, and new exhibitor São Tomé and Príncipe. North America, Central and South America, and the Caribbean have also shown a high interest in participating.

The event highlights the burgeoning segments of Mobility, Cruise, and Travel Tech, offering a broad platform for Hospitality and Travel Tech companies. The Culture Lounge moves to Hall 8.2, introducing the ITB MICE HUB. The ITB Sustainability Lounge and the ITB Career Center showcase innovations and career opportunities, respectively. The Medical and Health Tourism segment continues to grow, with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Slovenia making their debut. The LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion offers a vibrant display, and the luxury travel segment finds its exclusive space at the HOME of LUXURY in the Marshall Haus.

The ITB Buyers Circle Lounge, now at the Palais am Funkturm, highlights the event’s appeal to high-quality buyers worldwide. Enhanced features of ITBxplore and the ITB app, along with new meeting options like the Meeting Cube and Hybrid Stage, enrich the visitor experience, promoting networking and collaboration across the industry.
