In order to ensure public safety, the Security Industry Regulatory Agency, or as it popularly known as SIRA, has permitted and closely supervised fireworks displays as part of its preparations for the upcoming New Year’s celebrations.
The licencing will be inclusive of more than 45 fireworks shows in 32 places across Dubai. This indicates the transit of more than 38,000 tonnes of fireworks, which is supervised by agency experts working in tandem with the Dubai Police.
An immersive and beautiful show in Downtown Dubai will be visible from many locations throughout the city and is expected to welcome the new year for thousands of people. Amongst the others, here is a list of the top 3 sites that will provide a brilliant picaresque view:
Around the Burj Khalifa, a record 325 shooting sites have been set up for the event. The sky will be altered into an intricate structure of colours and shapes as these fire into 2,800 various directions, made possible by 15,682 pyrotechnic elements that have all been meticulously coordinated using specialised computer technology. The fusion of water, light, and sound will be timed with the Burj Khalifa’s show, directed by Peter Kopik, who is well-known for his work with fountain choreography.
