Janet Parton promoted to director of sales in Cosmos

Janet Parton, the former head of sales for Cosmos and Avalon Waterways has been promoted to the director of sales.

She helped in building a loyal community of agents, partners and customers and drove significant traffic and leads through strategic sales initiatives, Cosmos mentioned.

Parton had an integral role in communicating the escorted tour operator’s rebrand to the travel trade earlier along with targeting new markets for river line Avalon Waterways.

Giles Hawke, chief executive of Cosmos and Avalon Waterways said that during her tenure as head of sales, Janet displayed outstanding leadership abilities.

She showed immense enthusiasm for sales, passion for cruising and touring holidays.

Hawke further added that she played a vital role in developing and strengthening the trade network and in growing the Cosmos and Avalon brands in the UK.

Her wealth of expertise is essential during next period of exponential growth for  the company.

Parton holds more than 20 years’ experience working in sales, including holding senior sales positions at Carnival UK and MSC Cruises.

She will be joining trade account managers Anna Hall and Kelly Calver.

Parton said that Cosmos and Avalon truly value the importance of agent business. Travel agents will always be an integral part of consumers’ booking processes in the UK.

Their devoted team will foster strong and long-lasting relationships with the trade and  provide the best in class service and product training.
