American Airlines, Japan Airlines‘ Pacific Joint Business partner, is set to launch new nonstop service between Tokyo Haneda (HND) and New York (JFK) starting June 28, 2024. In an announcement today, JAL revealed that it would add its code to these new flights. Travelers will now have a choice of three daily flights between the two cities, with JAL operating two daily nonstop flights.

As the sole U.S. carrier offering this route, American Airlines’ new service will improve connectivity for passengers traveling to destinations in the United States, Central, and South America via New York. This move enhances customer options and convenience, especially for those seeking efficient travel between the bustling hubs of Tokyo and New York. The increased frequency of flights not only benefits travelers but also strengthens the partnership between American Airlines and Japan Airlines, providing a seamless travel experience for passengers flying across the Pacific.

A joint business is a partnership model adopted by multiple airlines, enabling them to operate flight schedules jointly and synchronize connecting times. This collaborative approach presents a unified front, expanding flight schedule options and enhancing convenience by minimizing connecting times.
