The extended weekend has led to a 27.2% surge in family travel compared to the previous year. India’s legendary Holi celebrations continue to draw international attention. According to Atlys data, 13.2% of inbound visa applications for March are from global visitors eager to experience the festival’s electrifying energy, marking an 18% year-over-year increase. Most of these travelers are heading to Delhi and northern cities like Pushkar, attracted by the region’s deep cultural roots. Many visitors are also extending their stays, using Holi as an entry point to explore India’s vast and diverse landscapes.
