Jet2.com and Jet2holidays unveil record-breaking Greek expansion for 2024

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have revealed that their extensive efforts in marketing and expanding their Greek offerings have resulted in their largest-ever program of flights and holidays to Greece in 2024. Facilitated by a robust joint-marketing campaign with the Greek National Tourist Office (GNTO), the UK’s leading tour operator and third-largest airline now boasts an unparalleled array of destinations available for purchase across Greece from 11 UK airports to 14 Greek airports, totaling over 100 routes.

This monumental expansion, complemented by the heavyweight marketing collaboration with GNTO, includes the introduction of seven new routes in 2024, responding directly to heightened demand from customers and independent travel agents. The newly launched routes are Liverpool to Corfu, Heraklion, Kos, Rhodes (exclusive), and Zante (exclusive), as well as Birmingham to Mytilene and Newcastle to Chania.

In 2024, the companies are offering over 1.52 million available seats to Greece, marking a 12% capacity increase, with nearly 320 weekly flights during peak periods. Jet2’s extensive reach will cover 14 Greek airports, namely Athens, Corfu, Chania (Crete), Heraklion (Crete), Kefalonia, Halkidiki, Kos, Kalamata, Lesvos, Preveza, Rhodes, Skiathos, Santorini, and Zante.

Responding to customer and partner preferences, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have extended the summer season by adding more capacity in March and April to destinations such as Crete (Heraklion), Corfu, Lesvos, Rhodes, and Santorini. Furthermore, the Crete (Heraklion) and Rhodes programs have been extended until mid-November.

The companies also showcase an expansive portfolio of accommodation options, offering customers a selection of nearly 1,500 2-5-star hotels, including 200 new hotels in 2024. With almost 300 villa properties available through Jet2Villas, holidaymakers can tailor their choices to meet various budgets and preferences.

To support this significant expansion, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays initiated a comprehensive joint-marketing campaign with GNTO a year ago. This campaign, spanning various channels, has proven highly successful in terms of visibility, reach, and engagement, encompassing offline and online advertising, social media initiatives, press and influencer trips, as well as high-profile partnerships promoting Greece as the ultimate holiday destination.
