JetBlue Enhances Team for Profitability with Key Leadership Appointments

JetBlue announced today a series of changes in leadership and organizational structure as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable profitability:

• Daniel Shurz assumes the role of JetBlue’s new head of revenue, network, and enterprise planning. With 20 years of experience, Shurz has held key positions such as vice president of network planning at Air Canada and senior vice president of commercial at Frontier Airlines. His responsibilities include overseeing network planning, airline partnerships, sales, revenue management, and enterprise planning, all vital components in JetBlue’s pursuit of profitability and network enhancement. Shurz will report directly to JetBlue’s president, Marty St. George.
• Dave Clark steps into the position of JetBlue’s new head of finance and strategy, where he will be in charge of financial planning and analysis, strategic initiatives, business development, and investor relations. Clark, who joined JetBlue in 2009, previously served as head of revenue and planning.His reporting line will be to Ursula Hurley, who serves as JetBlue’s chief financial officer.

After joining JetBlue in 2022, Shelly Griessel has advanced to the role of vice president of customer support.In her new role, Griessel will continue overseeing omnichannel customer contact management, reporting to Jayne O’Brien, head of marketing and customer support.

• Melinda Maher has been appointed vice president of treasurer and infrastructure, bringing her expertise from previous roles as vice president of financial planning & analysis and structural cost management since 2022. Maher’s prior experience includes positions at Alaska Airlines and Amazon after her tenure at JetBlue’s finance team from 2013 to 2016.
• Katherine Celli takes on the role of vice president of culture, talent management, and organizational effectiveness, with a focus on enhancing JetBlue’s cultural strengths and talent strategies. With 16 years at JetBlue, Celli most recently led culture and change management planning for the proposed Spirit integration. She will report to Tracy Lawlor, interim chief people officer at JetBlue.
