JetBlue is gearing up for a major spring surge at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, unveiling a robust wave of limited-time routes that expand travel options for both South Florida residents and visitors heading into one of the busiest leisure seasons of the year. As Fort Lauderdale’s leading airline, JetBlue is using spring break demand to introduce new markets, deepen its reach across the country, and reaffirm its long-standing commitment to South Florida as a core focus city.
Beginning in March, JetBlue will roll out special seasonal service to six destinations it does not currently operate from FLL. Travelers will gain direct access to Bozeman in Montana’s Rocky Mountains, the mile-high energy of Denver, the vast metro sprawl of Dallas–Fort Worth, the alpine lakes of Reno–Tahoe, the outdoor playground of Salt Lake City, and the sun-soaked coastline of Jacksonville. These routes will operate for a limited period, specifically tailored to peak spring travel demand when families, students, and vacationers flock to South Florida’s beaches while locals look to venture out to cooler climates and mountain destinations.

JetBlue is also using this travel window to boost connectivity for New England customers. As the region’s leading leisure carrier, the airline will add a special Patriots’ Day flight linking Portland, Maine, with Fort Lauderdale. Operating five times weekly between April 16 and April 27, 2026, this route caters to strong cultural and seasonal travel ties between the two regions, giving Mainers a well-timed opportunity to head south after a long winter.
These announcements come as JetBlue continues to introduce new ways for customers to experience its signature onboard product. Travelers on these limited-time flights will enjoy the hallmarks of the JetBlue experience, including free high-speed Fly-Fi, seatback entertainment loaded with movies and live TV, and a selection of complimentary branded snacks and beverages. With tickets already available, spring break planners have an early opportunity to secure convenient nonstop service backed by JetBlue’s popular customer-first amenities.
JetBlue is also officially starting service on eight previously announced routes across Latin America, the Caribbean, and key U.S. cities. These additions include Aruba, Cartagena, Liberia in Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, St. Maarten, San Pedro Sula, Norfolk, and Tampa. Combined with increased frequencies on existing routes, the airline’s expanding schedule reflects a strong strategic push to build depth across its growing network.
Each of the newly introduced spring break routes offers timing and frequency designed around peak travel patterns. Weekend-focused service to Bozeman and Reno–Tahoe supports ski season travelers. Denver and Dallas–Fort Worth see both daily and near-daily operations to match robust demand. Salt Lake City receives multiple weekly flights during the mid-March period, appealing to outdoor adventure seekers. Jacksonville service provides strong two-way connectivity for Florida residents moving between northern and southern parts of the state.

Meanwhile, the special seasonal flights between Portland and Fort Lauderdale align with school breaks and New England’s popular Patriots’ Day holiday, offering a timely escape for residents eager for warmer weather.
These route expansions are part of a much broader trajectory for JetBlue in South Florida. Fort Lauderdale was the airline’s first-ever destination over twenty-five years ago, and since then, the carrier has woven the city into its long-term strategic vision. This winter, JetBlue is preparing to operate its largest schedule ever at FLL, with plans to reach 113 daily departures and serve 46 nonstop markets. Recent expansions include new destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as increased service to major U.S. cities.
Supporting this growth, JetBlue is investing in infrastructure and crew development in the region. A dedicated Mint inflight crewmember base is set to open in early 2026, signaling the airline’s commitment to expanding premium travel options and enhancing the customer experience aboard its flagship product. Continued growth in terminal operations and scheduling depth further solidify JetBlue’s leadership position at FLL.
This latest wave of seasonal flights underscores JetBlue’s strategy of pairing customer-driven convenience with market opportunities during peak seasons. By offering more nonstop routes, more flexibility, and increased access to both warm-weather and mountain destinations, the airline is giving travelers a wide-ranging set of choices for spring break and beyond. As JetBlue strengthens its presence in Fort Lauderdale, its focus remains on delivering comfort, reliability, and value across every new addition to its growing network.
