Jewel Changi Airport Soars to New Heights on its Fifth Anniversary with Record Foot Traffic and Sales Surge

Entering its fifth year with vigor, Jewel Changi Airport continues to thrive, drawing in more visitors as travel rebounds. Reflecting the surge in passenger traffic at Changi Airport, footfall at Jewel has surged by 26% in the fiscal year 23/24, marking a significant increase from the previous year. Moreover, overall sales have climbed by 20%.

Of the total foot traffic, 30% comprised international travelers, with tourists from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, the United States of America, and Indonesia ranking among the top nationalities.

Jewel’s captivating attractions, nestled within the expansive 14,000sqm Canopy Park, have witnessed a notable rise in patronage, with a 12% increase in total visitor numbers and a 35% surge in sales. Additionally, its Double Rewards loyalty program, distinguishing it as the sole mall in Singapore to offer dual loyalty reward points for each transaction, has seen a membership base increase of over 10%.

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Jewel will unveil a year-long lineup of special events, enticing retail offers, and novel experiences, all under the thematic umbrella of ‘What A Feelin5’. These festivities aim to evoke a spectrum of positive emotions in visitors, reflecting the diverse array of experiences Jewel has to offer.

Prepare for an array of new adventures at Jewel! The mesmerizing Light & Music showcase, a hallmark of Jewel’s allure, continues to enthrall visitors with its breathtaking displays. Each night, the Jewel Rain Vortex transforms into a vibrant canvas of color and sound, courtesy of this captivating spectacle. To mark its fifth anniversary, Jewel unveils the brand-new Light & Music showcase titled “What A Feelin5”, crafted by the renowned water feature designer WET. This five-minute extravaganza celebrates Jewel’s vibrancy with uplifting tunes and incorporates elements like its iconic façade and lush greenery, promising an unforgettable experience.

Moreover, starting in the latter half of the year, visitors can embark on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour titled “In the Eye of the Jewel Rain Vortex”. This tour offers a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, along with insights into the preparation of Canopy Park for its daily operations.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. Jewel is gearing up for a series of marquee events throughout the year, beginning with Jewel Blooms during the June school holidays. This floral showcase, running from May 24th to August 11th at Canopy Park, promises larger-than-life displays inspired by emotions like happiness, love, and adventure. Collaborations with acclaimed designers will add a unique touch to the Petal Garden, creating an immersive floral fantasy.

For shoppers and diners, Jewel has curated over 50 anniversary perks across retail, dining, and in-store experiences in collaboration with its tenants. From exclusive merchandise to Jewel-themed menu items, there’s something for everyone to indulge in.

Furthermore, Jewel is redefining the retail landscape with a wave of new store openings, including flagship stores, in May and June. With a blend of local and international brands, visitors can look forward to an unparalleled shopping experience.

As Jewel celebrates its fifth year, it also aims to give back to the community. Teaming up with the Metta Welfare Association, Jewel is hosting a charity event tonight to raise funds for the development of the new Maitri School/Building project.This initiative underscores Jewel’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond its premises.
