The esteemed 2024 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide has unveiled its latest edition, bestowing the prestigious Black Pearl One-diamond upon Jin House at Four Seasons Tianjin once again. This marks the seventh consecutive year of recognition for Jin House, affirming its unrivaled status as the sole hotel-based restaurant in Tianjin to consistently achieve this esteemed accolade.

Situated on the 7th floor of the hotel, Jin House delights patrons with authentic Cantonese cuisine and innovative contemporary dishes that reflect the seasons. Its elegant dining space, featuring an enchanting “hanging galaxy” lighting concept, boasts 11 private dining rooms and a myriad of design elements evoking Oriental luxury, including teardrop-shaped crystal chandeliers, serene water features, and gleaming golden bowls.

Leading the culinary team is Chinese Executive Chef Albert Li, whose gastronomic journey began in Guangzhou under the tutelage of a renowned Cantonese master chef with decades of expertise from the Academy of Cantonese Chefs, Lei Garden in Hong Kong. Chef Li subsequently honed his craft in prestigious Cantonese establishments in Beijing and Shanghai, deepening his mastery of Chinese fine dining along the way.”There is no end to cultivating craftsmanship. There will be milestones along the way, but there is never a best. The original intention of constantly pursuing better remains unchanged,” shares Albert.

Presenting the much-anticipated 2024 Black Pearl Chef’s Week, set to commence on February 29, 2024, at Jin House. Chef Albert, ever the seeker of inspiration, ingeniously reinterprets contemporary Cantonese cuisine to craft an exquisite eight-course set menu brimming with innovation and excellence.

This curated menu promises a symphony of flavors, each dish a delightful fusion of tradition and innovation. Experience the indulgent Foie Gras Tartare with Strawberry and Caviar, a contemporary twist on the classic Chaoshan-style brined foie gras, infused with a tantalizing smoky essence. Delight in the Double-Boiled Abalone Soup with Perilla, a rejuvenating concoction capturing the essence of the ocean breeze, featuring perfectly cooked abalone. Then savor the Deep-Fried Beef Ribs with Lime Foam, a creative rendition of slow-cooked beef ribs boasting a crisp exterior yielding to a tender center.

Throughout the evening, Chef Albert will personally welcome guests, sharing insights into his culinary journey, philosophy, and the creative inspiration behind each masterpiece.
