The government of Jammu and Kashmir is anticipating making tourism arrangement in Reasi, where the world’s highest steel arch rail bridge is getting constructed.
Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, in the course of his stopover to the region, requested the district government to take instant actions for changing this architectural phenomenon into a tourist attraction.
Mr. Mehta said that the site of the bridge is also remarkable considering its artistic charm as it is
nestled in the midst of nature. He said that with little interferences, this area could change into a wonderful magnetism for tourists.
The Chief Secretary instructed the local and district managements to take steps for improved maintenance of the thoroughfare from Reasi to the location of the bridge. He directed them to mount crash fences anywhere essential. He also asked for the upgrading of way concerning Katra and Reasi immediately.
Mr. Mehta continued that the Reasi district, where the famed Vaishno Devi temple is positioned, witnessed the uppermost traveler numbers in J&K, which approximately surpasses a crore-mark every year. He said that the district had a huge prospect to entice a lot of people to its significant and natural wonders.
