Kenya Airways Expands its Horizons with New Nairobi-Maputo Direct Flight Route

In light of the increasing desire for travel between East and Southern Africa, Kenya Airways (KQ) is delighted to unveil a fresh route that links Nairobi directly to the dynamic city of Maputo, Mozambique. This exhilarating expansion is set to take off on June 14th, 2024, marking another stride in KQ’s dedication to enhancing its network and providing effortless travel connections throughout the continent.

Beyond being a significant trade hub for southern Africa, Maputo captivates visitors with its diverse blend of history and culture. The influence of Portuguese colonialism is evident in the city’s architecture, while its lively markets and thriving art scene provide insight into modern Mozambican life. Whether you’re drawn to relaxing on pristine beaches or delving into fascinating museums, Maputo promises an unforgettable experience.

Beginning June 14th, Kenya Airways will offer three weekly flights to Maputo, providing flexible access to this dynamic city on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This expansion not only enhances connectivity to Maputo but also aligns with KQ’s broader network strategy for FY2024, which includes increased frequencies to popular destinations such as New York, Paris, Lagos, Accra, and Freetown.
