Kenya Airways & Vietnam Airlines renew codeshare: Smooth Africa-Vietnam travel

Kenya Airways (KQ), the national carrier of Kenya, and Vietnam Airlines have reaffirmed their codeshare agreement, coinciding with KQ’s relaunch of flights to Thailand, which began on November 21, 2023.

This renewed partnership enables passengers to benefit from seamless travel options between Africa and Vietnam, with convenient connections through Bangkok and Nairobi to various destinations such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, Kisumu, Entebbe, Kigali, and Mombasa, among others. Whether for leisure, business, or visiting loved ones, travelers can enjoy enhanced flexibility and choice.

For those heading to Vietnam, Kenya Airways offers straightforward connections to Hanoi and Saigon via its services in Bangkok, facilitating smoother journeys.

Kenya Airways resumed its Bangkok services on November 21, 2023, operating flights three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—utilizing its popular B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Passengers can purchase single-ticket itineraries for their entire journey with Kenya Airways, benefiting from hassle-free flight perks such as the airline’s baggage allowance and seamless bag check-through to their final destination.

Both Kenya Airways and Vietnam Airlines are part of the SkyTeam Global Airline Alliance, allowing frequent flyers to earn miles on both carriers. Elite Plus travelers can also take advantage of SkyPriority services.
