Korea Tourism Organization welcomes Vegan tour companies

While traveling, many vegans might not get the chance to taste Gimbap, Tteokbokki and Bibimbap, dishes but four vegan travel providers succeeded in experiencing this and so much more on a recent familiarization trip to South Korea. This educational trip was arranged by Korea Tourism Organization. It would start from October 10th and continue till 19th, 2022, and received substantial Korean press Star News, Rose’s Article, YTN.

Jaesok Park, executive director at the Korea Tourism Organization, New York Office, said that South Korea is well-known for wonderful food, exotic culture, friendly people and old history. Understanding that vegan food and Temple cuisine are often ignored, KTO arranged a special fam trip for chosen vegan travel providers so that they can experience firsthand all that Korea has to provide to the travelers who are vegan. Many a times vegan travelers are not given importance, said Brighde from World Vegan Travel. It’s a Canadian tour operator, arranging luxury vegan group tours worldwide. In spite of paying the same price as other travelers, vegans often do not get the same food in terms of quality and pay for activities that are in opposition to their core principles, particularly at the high end of the market. The fact that the Korea Tourism Organization is investing in the rising number of vegan market is stimulating and something that they have never seen before.
