Korean Air is set to expand its international services for the summer of 2024, commencing on March 31. The airline will reintroduce routes to four cities across China, Europe, and Southeast Asia, while also boosting flight frequencies on key routes.

This expansion will bring Korean Air’s international capacity to about 96% of its pre-pandemic levels, as measured by available seat kilometers (ASK).

Reintroducing services to Europe, China, and Southeast Asia
Starting April 2, Korean Air will resume operating three weekly flights between Seoul Incheon and Zurich, catering to the substantial demand for this favored summer destination.

Starting April 23, Korean Air plans to reintroduce three weekly flights along the Seoul Incheon-Zhangjiajie route, celebrated for its designation as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and its association with the fantastical realm of Pandora depicted in the movie “Avatar.”

Furthermore, on April 24, Korean Air will recommence its Seoul Incheon-Zhengzhou services, offering four flights per week. Zhengzhou, a popular tourist spot in China, boasts Taihangshan, often dubbed the “Grand Canyon of China.” Visitors can also explore Songshan, one of China’s Five Great Mountains, and pay a visit to the Shaolin Temple, considered the birthplace of Kung Fu.

Additionally, after nearly four years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the airline will resume daily flights on the Busan-Bangkok route starting April 25.

Increasing flight frequencies on key routes
In response to escalating demand, Korean Air will augment flight frequencies on popular routes in Europe, Southeast Asia, and North America. The Seoul Incheon-Budapest route will increase from three to four weekly flights. Budapest, a sought-after tourist destination, also serves as a manufacturing hub for battery and automotive component companies.

The Seoul Incheon-Bangkok route will see an increase from three to four daily flights, while the Seoul Incheon-Manila route will increase from two to three daily flights. Since January, the airline has also added two additional frequencies on the Seoul Incheon-Bali route, offering eleven weekly flights to provide travelers with more flexibility and options.

In North America, Korean Air will ramp up services on the Seoul Incheon-Dallas route from four flights per week to daily flights. These daily flights will enhance connectivity for passengers traveling to and from the vibrant city, serving as a gateway to the south-central United States.

Korean Air will remain vigilant in monitoring seasonal trends that influence demand across its extensive global network, ensuring optimal schedules and an enhanced customer experience.
