Kovalam to host a three-day destination promotion meet of major tour operators in India

Kovalam will host a three-day destination promotion meet of major tour operators in India and other stakeholders in tourism.

The campaign is being organized by South Kerala hoteliers forum (SKHF) along with Kerala tourism and tourism professionals club (TPC).

The objectives of the meet include destination promotion, business-to-business (B2B) meets for mutually beneficial packages for boosting prime destinations in Kerala.The visiting tour operators will be taken through the major spots in Kovalam, Varkala and nearby Poovar as part of the promotion drive.

Over 120 travel agents and tour operators from principal markets like Gujarat, Delhi, Telangana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu will meet stakeholders from Kerala, including hotel partners to work out mutually beneficial strategies and packages that would boost tourism in the state, which has resumed activities in full swing.

Kerala tourism minister PA Mohamed Riyas said that it is a clear sign that major tour operators of India are showing a lot of interest in Kerala as a prime destination that has successfully overcome the constraints brought in by the pandemic.

“It can be seen as an outcome of our fool-proof implementation of Covid safety measures like bio-bubble in tourism destinations. Tour operators from across the country are convinced that Kerala is the safest place and the state government will offer all support to their plans,” said Riyas.
