Australia, Costa Rica, Gambia, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Tanzania, Thailand and more destinations are leading TUI Musement’s new Multi Day Experiences trend as travellers seek short immersive overnight escapes combining adventure, culture and unique stays.
TUI Musement, a global Tours & Activities business, has launched Multi Day Experiences (MDEs), a new travel concept designed to meet the increasing demand for short, immersive overnight adventures. The new range combines guided excursions, local expertise and distinctive accommodation into a seamless one- or two-night journey, allowing travellers to explore destinations beyond traditional day trips.
The introduction of Multi Day Experiences reflects a shift in traveller preferences, with more visitors seeking meaningful experiences that combine exploration, culture, nature and adventure without committing to longer multi-day tours. These experiences offer an ideal option for holidaymakers who want to add deeper destination discovery to an existing vacation.
Multi Day Experiences are designed for destinations and activities that require more time than a standard excursion to fully appreciate. Instead of returning to a hotel after a day of sightseeing, travellers can stay overnight in unique locations where accommodation becomes an important part of the overall experience.

The overnight element is considered a defining feature of MDEs, making certain journeys possible while also creating memorable travel moments. Accommodation options include desert camps, safari lodges, community homestays and luxury jungle tents, offering travellers a closer connection with local environments and communities.
The experiences cover a wide range of interests, including adventure, wildlife, nature, culture and authentic local encounters. Current Multi Day Experiences are available across several destinations worldwide, including Australia, Costa Rica, Gambia, Italy, Kenya, Morocco, Peru, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, USA and Vietnam.
These destinations allow travellers to experience landscapes and cultures in a more immersive way, from tropical rainforests and wildlife reserves to deserts, national parks and traditional communities.
The Multi Day Experiences collection features a variety of specially designed journeys that highlight the character of each destination.
In Costa Rica, travellers can enjoy two days of white-water rafting combined with an overnight rainforest stay, creating an adventure that blends adrenaline with nature immersion.
In Thailand, visitors can explore the wilderness of Khao Sok National Park through jungle activities followed by an overnight stay in a luxury tent surrounded by natural landscapes.
In Peru, travellers can experience community life near Lake Titicaca through cultural immersion and a homestay experience, allowing closer interaction with local traditions and lifestyles.
In Morocco, the programme includes a nomadic desert journey featuring camping experiences that showcase the region’s landscapes and heritage.
In Kenya, travellers can spend two days exploring African wildlife while staying at a safari lodge, combining game viewing with comfortable accommodation in a natural setting.
These experiences are designed to provide more than sightseeing. They focus on creating lasting memories through direct engagement with destinations, communities and ecosystems.
The launch of Multi Day Experiences comes as demand grows for shorter overnight adventures that sit between traditional day excursions and longer multi-day tours.
Recent research shows strong consumer interest in this emerging travel category. Around 70% of respondents from a recent survey indicated that they are likely to book a short, immersive and unique overnight experience. Interest is particularly strong among younger travellers and families who are increasingly looking for flexible ways to add meaningful activities to their holidays.
Multi Day Experiences provide travellers with the flexibility to extend their holiday experience without requiring a complete itinerary change. Visitors can combine these journeys with existing vacations, adding one or two nights of exploration alongside their main travel plans.
This format appeals to travellers who want authentic experiences but prefer shorter commitments compared with traditional multi-day tours. It also supports the growing trend towards experiential travel, where visitors prioritise cultural connection, adventure and unique accommodation over conventional sightseeing.
TUI Musement has developed many of the Multi Day Experiences internally by combining its own accommodation options, local guides, excursions and transportation services. This approach allows the company to create integrated journeys where every element works together smoothly.
Each MDE follows TUI’s global standards for Health & Safety, sustainability and product quality, ensuring consistent service levels across different destinations.
By combining multiple travel components into one package, Multi Day Experiences simplify the booking process for travellers. Instead of arranging separate accommodation, transportation and activities, visitors can access a complete experience through a single booking.
The concept also supports responsible tourism by encouraging deeper exploration of destinations and supporting local communities through experiences such as homestays and locally guided activities.
TUI Musement Multi Day Experiences can be booked before departure or while travellers are already at their destination. The experiences are currently available through multiple TUI distribution channels, including the TUI and TUI Musement apps and websites, TUI retail stores, TUI flights and destination services through TUI representatives.
Selected external platforms, including Bokun and Nezasa, also offer access to the growing portfolio.
Pricing varies depending on the destination and experience format, with packages starting from €145 per person.
The current Multi Day Experiences portfolio includes more than 35 options worldwide. TUI Musement plans to expand the collection to more than 45 experiences during summer 2026, with additional journeys expected to launch in 2027.
The expansion highlights the company’s focus on responding to changing traveller expectations and creating flexible experiences that combine adventure, cultural discovery and unique overnight stays.
As travellers increasingly seek shorter but more meaningful journeys, Multi Day Experiences aim to bridge the gap between traditional excursions and extended tours, offering a new way to discover destinations through immersive, carefully designed travel experiences.
