Kyrgyzstan Tourism Sector Poised for Growth with Issyk-Kul Developments, New Ski Resorts, and Recognition as a Top Destination

The tourism sector in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan is quickly developing as the backbone of its economic development. Kasymaliev also called attention to another ski complex currently being established in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region: Ala-Too Resort. The four-season resort with a total area of 3,916 hectares in Jyrgalan Valley, Ak-Bulak, and Boz-Uchuk covers vast land and is one of the biggest projects undertaking Kyrgyzstan’s desire to be one of the most popular tourist centers in Central Asia. The construction of high-standard ski resorts and recreational areas not only contributes to improving tourism in the country but also provides an opportunity to welcome visitors from all over the world searching for adventure and relaxing in the Kyrgyz mountains.
