Western Railway will conduct a Jumbo Block on the Borivali-Bhayandar stretch during the early hours between Saturday night and Sunday morning, August 22-23, 2026. The maintenance window will run from 12:30 am until 4:30 am on both Up and Down slow lines.
The overnight block has been arranged to complete essential railway maintenance activities, including track inspections, signalling system work and overhead equipment checks. These technical operations require controlled access to railway lines and are carried out during low-traffic hours to minimise disruption to regular commuters.
During the maintenance period, slow line services will be temporarily shifted to fast lines to keep suburban train movement operational.

Western Railway has confirmed that there will be no daytime block on Sunday, August 23. Normal suburban train operations will continue after the completion of the early morning maintenance work.

The scheduled block will allow construction teams to safely execute infrastructure work required for the new foot overbridge at Diva station. The project involves development activities near kilometre 42/128-130 on the railway route.
