Lithgow Council has acknowledged the domestic tourism segment for their assistances at nine
workshops lately organized to form a new Destination Action Plan.

Mayor Maree Statham stated that Lithgow’s tourism proposal functions in a jam-packed market. The Mayor said that they require a laser sharp emphasis on the correct activities to be prominent from the competitiveness and entice tourists and expenditure. It is good to witness the decent numbers of local tourism sector officials at the shareholder arrangement workshops. Very constructive response has been received regarding the quality of the content and enthusiasm at the hope for the future of tourism in their attractive expanse.

Lithgow City Council is setting a new Seven Valleys Destination Action Plan. This plan will create the
programme and urgencies to sustainably cultivate the tourist economy of the area in the course of the
upcoming five years. The plan will back local advertising, visits and wealth and look to deal with
obstacles and threats.
