Rail companies hit by strikes on Monday (February 5) include Great Western, Chiltern-Railways and Chiltern while National Rail reports an issue on TfL’s London Overground.

Train strikes continue this week with three companies serving London hit by walkouts on Monday (January 5) and an overtime ban across the network.

The train drivers’ union, the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF), has held a week of staggered walkouts.

The services impacted on Monday are Great Western, CrossCountry and Chiltern.

Great Western is running limited services, while CrossCountry and Chiltern are running no trains today.

An overtime ban will affect those and other services – including Gatwick Express, Great Northern, Southern and Thameslink – until the end of the day on Tuesday (February 6).

In London, National Rail is reporting that a broken down train between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction, and an earlier points failure at Kensal Green are causing disruption to Overground journeys between these stations.

Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 25 minutes or revised. Disruption is expected until 9am.

On Transport for London’s (TfL) Tube network the Metropolitan line has minor delays between Wembley Park and Harrow-on-the-Hill, northbound only, due to a points failure at Wembley Park.

For Preston Road and Northwick Park, passengers should change at Harrow-on-the-Hill, returning on a southbound stopping service.

There are minor delays on the Northern line between Camden Town and Kennington due to an earlier signal failure at Golders Green.

A shortage of trains on the Central line once again means there are severe delays between Leytonstone and Epping / Hainault via Woodford and between White City and Ealing Broadway / West Ruislip.

Minor delays are being experienced on the rest of the line.
