Emirates Airline unveils exciting changes to its Summer 2025 schedule, enhancing routes across London, Shanghai, Johannesburg, Ho Chi Minh City, and more.
Emirates Airline (EK) has announced significant changes to its Northern Summer 2025 flight schedule, effective from March 30, 2025. The adjustments showcase the airline’s commitment to fleet optimization and meeting global passenger demand, featuring notable aircraft replacements and route modifications.
Travelers will benefit from improved efficiency, enhanced services, and strategic adjustments across Emirates’ extensive global network.
Starting May 1, 2025, Emirates will deploy the Boeing 777-200LR on its daily service between Dubai (DXB) and Addis Ababa (ADD), replacing the Boeing 777-300ER. This change aims to enhance fuel efficiency while aligning capacity with passenger demand on this African route.
From June 1, 2025, Emirates will transition flights EK364/365 on the Dubai (DXB)–Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) route from the Boeing 777-300ER to the more efficient Boeing 777-200LR. This aircraft change ensures a balance between capacity and the high-quality travel experience for which Emirates is renowned.
Effective March 30, 2025, Emirates will replace one of its two daily Airbus A380 flights to Johannesburg (JNB) with a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER on flight EK761/762. This adjustment reduces A380 services on the route while continuing to offer diverse capacity and service options.

On September 21, 2025, the Boeing 777-200LR will replace the Boeing 777-300ER on Emirates’ flights EK193/194 between Dubai and Lisbon (LIS). This decision reflects the airline’s ongoing efforts to optimize operations on European routes.
Between March 30 and September 30, 2025, Emirates will reduce its Airbus A380 services at London Gatwick (LGW). Flights EK011/012 will transition to a 2-class Boeing 777-300ER, decreasing daily A380 operations from three to two. This temporary measure ensures efficient fleet utilization during peak summer travel.
The much-anticipated debut of the A350-900 on the Dubai (DXB)–Lyon (LYS) route is scheduled for March 30, 2025. Replacing the Boeing 777-300ER, the new aircraft offers enhanced passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
Starting March 30, 2025, Emirates will expand nonstop services to Melbourne (MEL) from two to three daily flights, all operated by the Boeing 777-300ER. Additionally, the Dubai (DXB)–Singapore (SIN)–Melbourne (MEL) service will be discontinued, streamlining operations while maintaining four daily flights between Dubai and Singapore.
Muscat (MCT) flights will undergo two changes:
Between March 30 and July 31, 2025, Emirates will temporarily operate a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER on the Dubai–Oslo (OSL) route, replacing the Boeing 777-200LR. During this period, First Class service will be unavailable, but Business and Economy cabins will continue to offer top-tier service.
Emirates will continue operating the Boeing 777-300ER on flights EK424/425 between August 1 and September 30, 2025. The introduction of the Boeing 777-200LR on this route has been postponed to October 1, 2025, ensuring stable capacity during the seasonal travel peak.
Plans to reintroduce the Airbus A380 on the Dubai (DXB)–Shanghai (PVG) route have been revised. Flights EK302/303 will continue with a 3-class Boeing 777-300ER from June 1, 2025. This adjustment aligns with operational priorities in the region.
Emirates will discontinue the Dubai (DXB)–Singapore (SIN)–Melbourne (MEL) service from March 30, 2025. However, the airline will maintain four daily direct flights between Dubai and Singapore, preserving connectivity for Southeast Asia-bound travelers.
The Northern Summer 2025 schedule highlights Emirates Airline’s commitment to operational efficiency, passenger satisfaction, and environmental responsibility. By introducing more fuel-efficient aircraft like the Boeing 777-200LR and A350-900, the airline continues to modernize its fleet while maintaining its high standards of service.
While some routes experience temporary changes in aircraft type or reduced frequency, Emirates remains committed to offering uninterrupted global connectivity. Passengers can continue to enjoy Emirates’ renowned hospitality and in-flight amenities.
