Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Retains Title of Best Airport in North America

For the third consecutive year, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) has been honored with the prestigious award for Best Airport in North America (serving 5 to 15 million passengers annually) by the Airports Council International (ACI) World through its 2023 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program. These awards spotlight the top airports globally, as evaluated by their passengers who participate in surveys while at the airport.

MSY stands out as one of just three airports in North America to achieve the Best Airport accolade in the 5 to 15 million passenger category.

“The Louis Armstrong International Airport continues to deliver an unmatched experience for its passengers that the entire Gulf Coast Region should be proud of year after year after year, ” said Judge Michael Bagneris, Chair of the New Orleans Aviation Board. “Moving forward, we will continue to provide the people who travel to and from New Orleans with the best possible customer service.”

The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program stands out as the foremost global benchmarking initiative for assessing and improving airport customer experiences. Through the ASQ Departures program, passenger satisfaction is gauged across 34 vital performance metrics. These encompass various aspects such as security queue durations, affordability and quality of parking services, staff helpfulness, amenities like business and executive lounges, restroom and terminal cleanliness, parking amenities, Wi-Fi availability, overall airport atmosphere, and more.
