Celebrating Lutaire Gustav: Our Facilities Department’s Employee of the Quarter! Originally from Abaco, Bahamas, Lutaire Gustav’s journey led him to Haiti during his childhood. Despite initially pursuing a medical degree at Université de la Fondation Dr. Aristide (UNIFA) for three years, financial constraints altered his path. Nonetheless, during his time in medical school, Lutaire discovered his talents in video production and piano mastery, earning recognition in his community for his musical prowess.Returning to New Providence in 2018, Lutaire embarked on various professional endeavors before landing at Nassau Cruise Port. There, under the guidance of Lionel Turnquest, Director of Projects and Facilities, Lutaire’s dedication and focused approach stand out, fueling his ongoing professional growth.
“Lutaire is a hard worker, very team-oriented, and willing to assist wherever he is needed,” said Turnquest. “He also encourages his colleagues to stay motivated and is extremely reliable and committed. We applaud his dedication and enthusiasm and thank him for his support.”
Lutaire now aspires to pursue Media Technology studies at The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute, aiming to obtain a Master’s degree in the future.
Regarding his experience at Nassau Cruise Port, Lutaire expressed a deep appreciation for the collaborative work environment fostered by the team.
He added that “As a Christian, I love everyone around me. I respect my colleagues as they do me. The Golden Rule is a staple in my daily life.”
