In an exclusive interaction with Travel and Tour World, Devendra Rai, Resident Manager of MPSTDC, revealed Madhya Pradesh’s multi-dimensional promotional strategy aimed at both Indian and global travelers.

Rai emphasized MP’s rising prominence in global spiritual tourism, especially with plans to develop Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain, modeled on the grandeur of Mahakumbh. Infrastructure upgrades, including roads, rail, and air connectivity, are underway to welcome massive pilgrim footfalls.
With over 32% forest cover, 25 wildlife sanctuaries, 11 national parks, and 8 tiger reserves, Madhya Pradesh leads India’s wildlife tourism narrative. Branded as the Tiger State, Leopard State, Vulture State, and Cheetah State, MP is transforming wildlife exploration into immersive ecotourism experiences.
