In an effort to revive the domestic tourism industry which has been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Malacca is organising several programmes to attract visitors.

Most recently, its chief minister Datuk Sulaiman Md Ali launched a golf programme called “Jom Golf ke Melaka” (let’s play golf in Melaka), in collaboration with the Melaka State Golf Association (PGNM) at the Tiara Melaka Golf and Country Club in Bukit Katil, Melaka.

Sulaiman said, adding that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) must be adhered to said that the State Government of Melaka is in full support of the efforts made by PGNM to revive golfing activities as well as attract tourists to this state.

The programme director Datuk AS Khamis informed that “Jom Golf ke Melaka” would see a standardised fee of RM98 for non-members and RM75 for members until Dec 31 at the A’Famosa Golf and Country Club, Ayer Keroh Country Club, Orna Golf and Country Club and Tiara Melaka Golf and Country Club.

Meanwhile, the Jasin Heritage Golf Club is offering a fee of RM75 for non-members and RM60 for members.

PGNM president Datuk Seri Abdul Ghafar Atan said the programme serves as an effort to boost golfing activities in the state as the special deal is only available in Melaka.
