Malaysia Airlines proudly introduces MHrail, a novel product facilitating passengers’ seamless rail connections through a single booking. As part of this endeavor, the airline announces the broadening of its collaboration with AccesRail, the world’s foremost provider of air-rail intermodal solutions. This strategic alliance empowers travelers to effortlessly reserve onward train journeys, unlocking the opportunity to explore adjacent cities from Seoul to London while flying with Malaysia Airlines.

Now, Malaysia Airlines patrons can conveniently reserve Korail KTX train tickets for routes to and from Incheon International Airport in South Korea. Moreover, they can secure train tickets linking London Heathrow in the United Kingdom to destinations along the East Coast via London North Eastern Railway (LNER) and the West Coast through Avanti West Coast. This expansion complements the existing rail offerings facilitated by this partnership, including the Great Western Railway route. Tickets are accessible for purchase on Malaysia Airlines’ official website and all Global Distribution Systems (GDS) travel agencies.

Through this collaboration, Malaysia Airlines passengers seamlessly transition between international flights and rail routes operated by these railway providers, facilitated by AccesRail’s “9B” carrier code

Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines from Malaysia Aviation Group, said: “We are delighted to offer our customers more options on flight to rail connections, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience for all. With the introduction of our new MHrail product, we provide passengers with a seamless avenue to purchase both flight and train tickets, making it convenient for our guests to explore neighbouring cities and enjoy onward connections upon arrival in London or Seoul through a single itinerary and ticket.”

Andrew Popescu, Vice President Business Development, AccesRail, said: “AccesRail and Malaysia Airlines have worked together for many years with interline opportunities that have expanded the airline’s route network. We are excited to be deepening our Malaysia Airlines-AccesRail cooperation and look forward to continuing with them on a global scale. Through this enhanced AccesRail partnership, Malaysia Airlines will be able, now and in the future, be able to offer its customers more destinations and more possibilities in a more seamless fashion.”

AccesRail, headquartered in Montreal and operating for 25 years, is integrated into all major Global Distribution Systems (GDS) worldwide. Through partnerships with leading rail companies across Europe, North America, and Asia, AccesRail enables customers to seamlessly book and buy air and rail travel within a single itinerary.
