The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is excited to announce the relocation of the MAB Academy (MABA) to its new campus at the South Support Zone in Sepang, a move that commenced operations on December 15, 2023. The new MAB Academy campus is strategically located at the former headquarters of Malaysia Airlines and has undergone a substantial transformation, embracing modernity and innovation to create an optimal learning environment.

Covering an expansive area of approximately 194,000 square feet, the new academic campus is designed to revolutionize the conventional approach to work and education. It houses cutting-edge facilities, including meeting rooms, training spaces, hot desks, an auditorium, digital studio, and an open student lounge concept, functioning as a versatile hub. Additionally, MAB Academy will soon introduce its Flight Simulator Centre, set to begin construction in February 2024 and projected for completion in early 2025. The campus will also feature a pool dedicated to safety and emergency training, along with various service-oriented training facilities, solidifying its position as a comprehensive aviation and hospitality center of excellence for the region.

As an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) sanctioned by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), MAB Academy provides a diverse array of courses spanning airline mandatory training, aviation services training, and digital and innovation learning, all led by its team of 57 experienced trainers. As MAG’s training division, MAB Academy is dedicated to delivering exceptional education and training to both internal talent and external clients, which includes airlines and corporate customers.

MAG is thrilled to introduce its new corporate website in conjunction with the campus relocation. Created in partnership with GrowthOps Asia, a leading provider of marketing transformation solutions, this website, available at malaysiaaviationgroup.com.my, serves as the central hub for all MAG and subsidiary-related corporate information. With improved navigation and accessibility features, it guarantees a smooth user experience on both desktop and mobile devices

Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of MAG,said, “The opening of MAB Academy’s new campus not only signifies a successful relocation of its main office but also represents a significant investment in creating an environment that empowers trainers, employees, and collaborators to excel, while also nurturing professionals to support the aviation industry’s growth. The building’s green concept reiterates our commitment to sustainability not only in our products and services but also in our operations across business units and premises.

In addition to this, our new corporate website serves as a comprehensive hub where stakeholders and potential business partners can seamlessly access essential information, delve into our corporate journey, and stay updated on latest developments across the Group. Both these efforts underscore our commitment in supporting our Long-Term Business Plan 2.0 and ensuring that our strategic initiatives align seamlessly towards the sustained growth and success of the organisation.”

This newly designed website aligns with MAG’s Target Operating Model (TOM) implemented in 2023, consolidating all corporate information pertaining to MAG’s subsidiaries under its three primary business pillars: Airlines, Loyalty & Travel Services (LTS), and Aviation Services. The Airlines portfolio comprises subsidiaries such as Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, MASwings, and AMAL by Malaysia Airlines; Aviation Services encompasses MAB Engineering, MABkargo, AeroDarat Services, and MAB Academy, while the LTS portfolio includes Journify, Enrich, and MHholidays.
