MalaysiaTourism Malaysia yesterday announced the launch of My Tourist Assist (MyTA) mobile app at a press conference with an aim to encourage safe travel for visitors in this nation.

This app was developed by UST Global and is managed by Jana Tiga Holdings Sdn Bhd that is a brand working with reputed Malaysian conglomerates.

Malaysia generally hosts a large number of tourists every year and is among the most visited countries in the world. My Tourist Assist is an e-Government service associated with Tourism Malaysia. Tourism Malaysia recognizes the significance of safety for globetrotters in the country, particularly in the event of natural disasters in the region.

This app is available for downloading on Google and App Store.

Once this app is downloaded the tourist would need to add their profile and an emergency contact.

Some crucial features of the app include ‘UrSafe’ tab with SOS button for sending alert to their close kin in the event of emergency and security services to be immediately alerted.

This app also lists many ‘Essential Services’ like police stations, pharmacy, hospitals, embassy, ATMs, train stations and petrol pumps.

Tourists can select the service they were looking forward to and open its location on map to reach that place.

This app is easy-to-use and highly recommended by the Tourism Malaysia. Additional features would be added to the app in the upcoming days.

Gilroy Mathew who is the HEAD, APAC, UST Global mentioned that they are glad to be able to associate with the Malaysia Tourism department in launching My Tourist Assist (MyTA) app.

They had launched the UrSafe back in India quite successfully and proud to bring the same for the safety of tourists in Malaysia.
