Hyatt is set to introduce its first-ever Regency-branded property in the heart of Manhattan with the launch of Hyatt Regency Times Square later this year.
The upcoming hotel, featuring 795 rooms, is replacing the recently shuttered Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, a four-star property that was previously located at the intersection of 50th Street and Broadway.

Hyatt promises an elevated guest experience at the new hotel, with a sophisticated New York-style market, a stylish bar and lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, all offering sweeping views of the city’s skyline.
The hotel is expected to welcome guests in the third quarter of this year, although an exact date has not yet been confirmed.

New York City continues to hold its position as the most visited major city in the U.S. In 2024 alone, it attracted 64.3 million visitors, according to NYC City Tourism and Conventions—just 9% shy of its 2019 record of nearly 67 million travelers. With tourism on an upward trajectory, officials anticipate surpassing pre-pandemic visitation numbers in 2025.
