TUI U.K. operated British cruise line Marella Cruises recently confirmed that it has decided to extend the cancellations of all cruises until September 30 in light of the ongoing COVID-19 related travel restrictions. The cruise line also mentioned that the only ship sailing this summer will be Marella Explorer, home porting in Corfu from October 2.

It has also informed that four other ships currently in the Marella fleet will remain idle until 2021 at the earliest. The action has been undertaken due to the present uncertainty regarding coronavirus and ease of travel restrictions. Customers who has due bookings set to depart in October is eligible to amend their cruise for free before July 31 or any other holiday on-sale until October next year.

Additionally, all customers whose bookings are impacted by the changes made by the cruise line will receive a refund credit and up to ten% incentive of the total value of their booking. Customers can also request a cash refund via an online form on the TUI website.
