In the unfolding year of 2024, Marina Bay Sands has initiated the second phase of a substantial reinvestment program, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to developing its iconic integrated resort (IR) into a world-class tourism destination. The objective is to maintain its status as a unique and exhilarating experience for both local and international visitors, while significantly boosting Singapore’s tourism appeal in the decades to come.

The estimated investment for this second phase is approximately US$750 million, concentrating on the transformation of Tower 3, the Hotel Lobby, and Sands SkyPark. The enhancements encompass a reimagined VIP arrival experience, the introduction of new premium dining and retail options, a revamped lobby, and a renewed focus on wellness offerings for guests. Over 550 redesigned rooms, including around 380 suites, will be unveiled during this phase, with completion expected in stages by 2025.

This transformative effort aligns with a multi-year program aimed at positioning the IR as a leader in luxury hospitality. It follows the final stages of a US$1 billion first-phase reinvestment, announced in February 2022, focused on the complete refurbishment of Hotel Towers 1 and 2, along with the introduction of new dining options and luxury lifestyle amenities for high-value travelers.

The extended reinvestment program underscores the commitment of parent company Las Vegas Sands to contribute to Singapore’s hospitality industry, with a total reinvestment sum of US$1.75 billion. With elevated product and service offerings, the IR is establishing new standards for luxury hospitality to cater to the discerning visitors of the region seeking immersive travel experiences.

Paul Town, Chief Operating Officer of Marina Bay Sands, expressed excitement about the development’s next stage, anticipating its positive impact on Singapore’s status as a premier tourism destination. The first phase of transformation successfully upgraded approximately 1,280 rooms across Towers 1 and 2, introducing unique room categories such as The Paiza Collection and The Sands Collection, each offering distinct experiences.

The forthcoming opening of the Paiza Sky Club on the 55th floor of Tower 2 in February is another highlight, featuring a multi-concept executive club lounge with various amenities.

Upon completion of the transformation of all three hotel towers, Marina Bay Sands will offer 1,850 luxuriously refurbished rooms, including nearly 770 suites, setting a new standard for luxury accommodations in the region.

Marina Bay Sands is not only focusing on physical enhancements but is also deepening its investment in its staff to elevate the property’s culture of service excellence. Training initiatives and new uniforms for service staff are being rolled out, complementing the overall luxury positioning of the property.

As a prelude to a heightened focus on wellness experiences, Marina Bay Sands will soon launch wellness activities at SkyPark Observation Deck and Infinity Pool, catering to both hotel and non-hotel guests.

The introduction of The Paiza Collection showcases ultra-luxurious residential-style suites for distinguished guests, reinforcing Marina Bay Sands’ commitment to curating opulent experiences. Noteworthy in this collection is the Horizon Suite, designed as an urban retreat with a spa zone dedicated to deep rejuvenation, and the Chairman Suite, spanning 600 square meters and featuring impressive entertainment and recreational amenities.
