Marina Bay Sands embarks on a $750M reinvestment focusing on Tower 3, enhanced rooms, VIP experiences, and wellness, elevating luxury travel.

As the year 2024 progresses, Marina Bay Sands embarks on the next stage of its ambitious reinvestment strategy, dedicating itself to enhancing the renowned integrated resort as a top-tier tourist hotspot. This commitment not only preserves its distinctiveness and excitement for both domestic and global guests, but also significantly bolsters Singapore’s allure as a global tourist destination for many years to come.

With a budget of US$750 million, the latest phase of this transformation targets Tower 3, the Hotel Lobby, and Sands SkyPark. Key features include a revamped VIP entry, upscale dining and shopping options, a redesigned lobby, and an emphasis on wellness amenities for global travelers. This stage introduces over 550 newly styled rooms, including roughly 380 suites. Completion of these upgrades is planned in stages, concluding in 2025.

This initiative is a part of a broader, multi-year effort to establish the resort as a frontrunner in the high-end hospitality industry. This announcement coincides with the final phase of Marina Bay Sands’ US$1 billion initial reinvestment, initiated in February 2022, which encompassed a comprehensive makeover of Hotel Towers 1 and 2, along with new dining and luxury lifestyle amenities for upscale travelers.

The expanded reinvestment program demonstrates Las Vegas Sands’ dedication to Singapore’s hospitality sector, supporting its people and economy with a total investment of US$1.75 billion. The resort aims to set new luxury hospitality standards with its enhanced offerings, catering to the region’s most discerning and affluent tourists seeking exceptional travel experiences.

Paul Town, Chief Operating Officer of Marina Bay Sands, expressed enthusiasm for this next developmental phase, emphasizing its importance in reinforcing Singapore’s status as a premier travel destination. He highlighted the resort’s progress in introducing leading luxury travel experiences over the past two years and the pivotal role of this second reinvestment phase in elevating the property and positioning it for future growth opportunities. Town looks forward to guests enjoying these new and improved features.

The initial transformation phase involved a substantial upgrade of approximately 1,280 rooms across Towers 1 and 2, including about 390 new suites. These are categorized into The Paiza Collection and The Sands Collection, each offering distinctive room types like the spa-inspired Horizon Suite and the family-friendly Family Suite, complete with amenities such as a kitchenette and children’s room with bunk beds and storybooks.

In February, the Paiza Sky Club will open on Tower 2’s 55th floor. This executive club lounge boasts a tea vault, bespoke whisky bar, private liquor locker, garden conservatory, and buffet spreads from open kitchens led by top chefs.

Upon completion of all three hotel towers, guests will have access to 1,850 luxuriously refurbished rooms, nearly 770 of which are suites.

Enhancing Service Excellence

Marina Bay Sands is also investing in its staff to enhance the property’s already strong service culture. Staff training includes pushing the boundaries in guest service, with butlers trained at the resort’s own Butler Academy and team members in hotel and restaurant roles receiving Forbes Travel Guide Five Star training since October 2023. The Premium Services Team has expanded its presence to the airport, providing a seamless experience from arrival to departure.

New uniforms are being introduced for service staff, aligning with the property’s luxury image.

In anticipation of a new focus on wellness, Marina Bay Sands will launch various wellness activities at the SkyPark Observation Deck and Infinity Pool, including Muay Thai boxing, spin classes, and sound bath meditation, available to both hotel and non-hotel guests.

Introducing The Paiza Collection

The Paiza Collection offers ultra-luxurious, residential-style suites on the hotel’s highest floors, catering to Marina Bay Sands’ most elite guests. This collection includes The Paiza Royal Collection, with suites on Levels 50 to 54 in Towers 1 and 2, featuring the Chairman Suite, Presidential Suite, Horizon Suite, and Marina Suite.

The one-bedroom Horizon Suite is designed as an urban retreat, featuring a treatment room, dry sauna, ice well, hammam shower, steam shower, and a spa zone with a Himalayan salt wall, heated ceramic lounge chairs, and a personal gym.

The two-bedroom Presidential Suite focuses on sports, including a golf simulator with courses like St Andrews Links and Pebble Beach. Both the Horizon and Presidential Suites measure approximately 330 square meters (3,552 square feet).

The Chairman Suite, averaging 600 square meters (6,458 square feet), offers three- and four-bedroom configurations and includes two living areas, an entertainment kitchen, massage room, gym, and an entertainment room with a 146-inch Samsung ‘The Wall All-in-One’ TV screen, karaoke facilities, and a massage chair.
